Mutant Abilities: Primarily has the ability to involuntarily negate any mutant power within a small radius of himself. Leech's physical touch also drains energy and the mutant powers of others. This touch based power draining has been observed to negate a victim's powers for one day at the most. The physical energy draining, however, is more drastic. Once when Leech touched a body builder for too long, he drained almost all of the victim's muscle mass. It is unknown where the drained energy is stored.
Formerly had the ability to permanently negate the powers of others when his blood came into contact with a victim's blood stream.

Personal History: Young Jimmy is believed to have been born somewhere in New York City, although no such record exists. He was found playing in the streets around the sewer when he was six years old, with no memory of who he was or where his family went. Even at his early age his mutation was active, and when he was brought to the orphanage to live he was often shunned and hated. A feeling that has stayed with young Jimmy for most of his life.

Soon after being processed in the New York State orphanage, Leech was adopted by Worthington Industries, making him the first mutant to be adopted by a corporation. He was chosen because of the unique nature of his mutation, and hardly had a say in the adoption due to the large donation from Warren Worthington Senior. After the adoption, Jimmy found himself in a life filled with constant control and humiliation. Although mostly kept heavily sedated and unconscious, Leech had clear memories of the painful blood extraction administered by the Worthington staff. Jimmy was kept like a cow and milked for his blood, which Worthington industries discovered had mutation gene negation properties. Jimmy's blood was used as a cure for Mutants across the country and eventually was the Achilles heel that sparked outright war between the humans and mutants.

During the war on humanity, Leech was largely sedated and unaware. He was suddenly shaken though during the final Alcatraz battle by Kitty Pryde, when an attack was made on Jimmy by the Brotherhood member called Juggernaut. Kitty saved Leech not only from the Juggernaut, but from a life shackled in slavery to the Worthington Cooperation. After the incident, Jimmy was admitted to the Xavier institute, because he was a mutant without any family and no where else to go.
